When it comes to writing first drafts, my preferred materials are an ink pen and a nice journal. Over the years this has meant I’ve spent a small fortune on journals of leather, with magnetic closing strips or with a funky look about them.
Some of the journals I’ve bought in the past have been handmade and I’ve often wondered if I could turn my hand to that too. So far the result has been four journals of varying size, using the stitch method of binding. I’m really looking forward to exploring the potential with covers and papers. Plus it’s even nicer to write a story of your own in a book you made yourself.
